When The Mission Is Accomplished, It Will = Fairness

The purpose of this website is to substantiate my 25 year history of providing information on the back of my contract for consumer evaluation called disclosure. And my personal mission of having this marketing practice first become a local licensing requirement for residential contractors and all shop-at-home companies with local municipalities, and then to have this new licensing regulation evolve into a Federal Trade Commission (FTC) rule that would then make it mandatory in all communities throughout the United States.

Back of contract 1983Back of contract 2008

The competitors in my business are not the other honest contractors. It’s the inefficient, complacent, dishonest contractors who spoil the marketplace, and restrict spending. I believe that being a contractor is a privilege. Just like driving a car, and a licensed driver must take a test. I also believe that a contractor should take a test. Part of this test is showing up and having their picture taken. Next, sitting down and filling out an employment application, or a competency questionnaire, whatever you wish to call it, then signing their name. The municipality should require having this information on the back of the contract, for consumer evaluation. Consumers will then be empowered, with the information necessary, to make an intelligent decision. I provide 18 categories, and I believe the 3 most important categories are: First, consistency, or continuity of ownership. Just because the corporation has been around for 30 years, is there a new owner? Secondly, has that contractor been licensed before under another name? And the third most important fact, is the percentage of business that comes from recommendation and referral. For if a contractor does not provide a quality product or quality service, people do not recommend you, and they truly do not call you back a second time. The objective of having a signature and photo accountability on the back of the contract will allow marketplace enforcement. That’s so important, because a rule that is passed, which has no enforcement, is worthless. Wanted: Companies with Integrity for the Revolution, take the Integrity Test.
